Jack's award wining watercolours and acrylics are fresh and colorful, like fragments of stained glass, coming together to create bold compositions. In his paintings as well as his paper sculpture designs, Jack is intrigued by shapes. He refers to his approach to design as "exploring with pieces (shapes) of colour" Jack stresses the life of shapes on thier own as key elements in a composition which are combined with other elements to make up the final piece of art. From his Saturna Island studio/gallery, Jack explores coastal themes as well as figurative pieces.
